Our daughter, Katie, began Neurofeedback with Adrian Quevedo at OEP, Inc early in 2008, when she was 17 years old. For the previous four or five years, she had experienced high levels of anxiety, which had seriously affected her emotionally, mentally, physically and academically. We had sought out the help of doctors and other specialists who were able to give her only limited relief. The greatest help came from changes in her diet, but she was still experiencing a brain fog that interfered with her ability to do schoolwork, drive, and interact socially.
When we met Adrian, we were grateful that he was willing to take the time to listen to our whole story. He was also very kind, which was especially important to Katie At that time as she was fed up with going to doctors. When he did her first brain map, he found that she was operating on chiefly delta and theta waves during the day. Since these are the wavelengths generally employed when sleeping, it was no wonder that she was having so much trouble functioning.
The first improvement that we noticed when Katie began her Neurofeedback sessions was in her sleep patterns. After having trouble sleeping for years, she was able to go to sleep before midnight instead of laying awake most of the night. Over the next nine months of training, her ability to focus, as well as to socially interact, gradually improved. We felt that we were getting our daughter back. A brain map at the end of that period showed that she was operating mainly on alpha waves during the day.
Katie continues to improve. Last spring she graduated from high school, got her driver’s license, and is currently taking classes at Seminole State College. We feel that her Neurofeedback with Adrian gave her back her life!
